Lunch Walks Among Us (Franny K. Stein series), by Jim Benton.

Franny K. Stein is a little girl that is a mad scientist and can't help doing an experiment everyday. In this story Franny has no friends and is very sad when she goes to school because all the other kids are scared of her because she is quite different then them like she doesn't play with dolls like the other girls in her class, and at lunch everyone brings a sandwich but Franny brings crab ravioli in pumpkin sauce. Since everyone is scared of her she makes a experiment and drinks it and turns into a pretty little girl. And in the end she learns that it doesn't matter what your personality is you can still make friends.

What I like about the book is that I'm a person that likes what Franny likes,I am like Franny because I'm a person that likes science and likes gross stuff and likes skulls and squishy things, so that's why a person like me would like the book. She does some experiments and makes a doll named Chompolina and Oozette. Chompolina was a doll that would chomp other doll's heads off,Oozette was a doll that when you hug her she would gush out sticky gunk!! I read the whole series so if you like this book you'll like the series!!!

Hello Destiny. I found your blog through the Kids Lit blog. I'm looking forward to reading more reviews! I see you like Beverly Cleary's books. She was my favorite author when I was your age-I even had a Ramona Quimby journal.

Hi Destiny. I discovered the Franny K. Stein series this year when one of my fourth graders lent me a copy. Lots of my students have come to adore Franny and I must say, I enjoy her quite a bit myself. I'm looking forward to reading more of your reviews! Amy Simbe
